Jennie’s desire to help patients heal comes from personal experience. She has learned to manage an unstable congenital connective tissue and chronic pain condition that was impacted by 9/11 at ground zero. She experienced a 10+ year period where she needed injections, surgeries and numerous drugs to function. Her health, strength, and quality of life declined until she became empowered to use the right foods, mindfulness, and healthy movement as her best medicine. Taking baby steps towards behavior change and sampling nearly every healing strategy, she was able to turn her health around and now thrives with her disease.
As a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), Jennie has obtained the highest standard in the health coaching profession. She is currently 1 of the 4,000 individuals in the world with specialized training in the science of behavior change, chronic disease, evidence-based treatments, and client-directed counseling techniques that assist patients in making lifestyle changes that last. Jennie loves to empower OIM patients to become the CEO of their own health with an approach that focuses on the client as the expert decision-maker. During the coaching process, she guides patients to explore their unique strengths, challenges, and dreams in order to develop a successful holistic wellness plan that yields sustainable changes. Jennie specializes in providing encouragement and support as clients build new daily habits, thoughts, as well as take action to achieve health goals. She is honored to celebrate success with patients every day as they take steps towards thriving health and a greater quality of life.
